Regional dialogue and Intra-Palestinian reconciliation

About this project

This 18-month action will contain two components which underpin the European Joint Strategy (EJS) in support of Palestine 2021-2024. The first component will include close work with the European Union¿s Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process (EUSR MEPP) on reviving the peace process, through facilitation of dialogue to support intra-Palestinian reconciliation, as well as regular engagements between high-level regional experts to garner input for a comprehensive regional peace process, including a specific expert group of women from the region. The aim of the second component is to contribute to decreasing and preventing escalations of conflict related to water and energy scarcity.  This component will include dialogue activities on the topic of renewable energy and water-energy exchange mechanisms between Israel, Palestine and Jordan in order to ease investments in green initiatives, access to self-sufficient water and energy, and address challenges posed by climate change.
