About this project

Contract related to: Projet de renforcement de la cohésion sociale entre les communautés hôtes, réfugiées et retour-nées à l¿est du Tchad (RECOS) - The influx of refugees combined to an important population increase in Eastern Chad, as well as the consequences of climate change, in a context of political, economic and social fragility could contribute to an increase in the risk of violence and threaten the peaceful co-existence between host communities, refugees and returnees. In this context, it is important and urgent to support host communities, refugees and returnees and ensure their peaceful co-existence, and improve agricultural production and income generation in order to address challenges of food insecurity, as well as access to basic social services. The 18-month action therefore aims to strengthen social cohesion with a focus on the promotion of peace and dialogue, support to agricultural production and income generating activities, and strengthening access to basic services.
