About this project

Contract related to: JAMM LEYDI - This 18-month exceptional assistance measure action seeks to address the spillover of violent extremism in the Southeast of Senegal and support the prevention of structural tensions and destabilisation. The first component will focus on preventing the spread of violent extremism to the most vulnerable communities in the provinces of Kedougou and Tambacounda through the implementation of local conflict prevention and resolution mechanisms, with a specific focus on local policy makers, women, and youth. A second component will focus on prevention of conflicts related to climate change and cross-border natural resources management in the Tambacounda region. The third component will support the efforts of civil society actors to prevent tensions and the risk of new political and social crises that could lead to further destabilisation of the country in the current post-election context through peacebuilding, mediation, and prevention of electoral violence related activities.
