Youth generACTION : engaging empowered youth in peacebuilding and conflict prevention in Lebanon

About this project

The project aims to contribute to the pathway to inclusive youth participation in conflict prevention and peacebuilding initiatives and processes in Lebanon by supporting and building the capacity of youth as positive community members in their region. Youth will be supported in learning about human rights and democracy and the power of citizenship as well as about using civic spaces as a way to gather other youth around positive cross-cultural and cross-sectarian cultural and civic activities. In this way, the intervention promotes active participation among youth taking the lead to ensure their right to live in a peaceful society and gain knowledge and agency to act upon challenges such as societal divides and the lack of access to civic and cultural opportunities for youth in Lebanon.
