About this project

The EMI aspires to promote a peaceful and prosperous Eastern Mediterranean by building trust and an understanding of shared interests. Its central long-term goal is to pave the way for structured cooperation and conflict prevention mechanisms. This would initially take the form of a political conference, which would lay the ground for further regional integration such as the creation of a permanent body, as outlined in the EMI vision paper. In 2024-2026, the EMI¿s ambition is to help shape and catalyze steps towards the convening of such a conference.
