About this project

<p>The general objective of this program is to promote a more efficient use of energy resources that would free public funds through lower government bills and reduced oil imports, helping the Government of Jamaica to further reduce its debt and create the fiscal space for productive spending whilst also contributing to Green House Gas emissions reduction.The specific objectives and expected results of this Programme are: (i)reduced electricity consumption within government facilities. (ii)decreased fuel consumption through improved traffic control management; (iii)increased institutional capacity to promote and supervise electricity planning in Jamaica. The project is structured around three components: Component I: Retrofitting Government Buildings Component II: Fuel Efficiency Component III - Institutional Strengthening </p>
