Implementation of the Circular Economy Roadmap

About this project

The overarching objective of this Action is to support Government of Mauritius in the implementation of its Circular Economy Roadmap, approved by Cabinet in 2023. The Roadmap itself was prepared with EU support - the current Action there is a continuity in the support in a key domain where EU has an edge in terms of technical and technological knowhow as perceived in a visible manner by all partners. With its focus on putting in place the necessary conducive environment to assist the shift towards circularity via review of legislations etc but also interms of support to private sector intermediary institutions to better support their members. Private sector in Mauritius is vibrant and offers good opportunities for bringing in EU DFIs as well as European investors, in line with the Global Gateway philosophy.
