About this project
In line with the Mozambique¿s Government priorities, especially the pillar 3 of the Energy Transition Strategy (ETS) and the national programme ¿Energia para todos¿, the Action seeks to contribute to the achievement of universal access to electricity and to energy services in Mozambique by providing on and off-grid access with a Team Europe approach, with a particular emphasis on the nexus energy, education and digital technology. The Action will focus geographically in the Provinces of Nampula, Zambezia, Tete, Cabo Delgado, Niassa and Sofala. The geographical focus will overlap to the extent possible with the other initiatives of AAP 2026 on digital and education. Ensuring access to electricity for social facilities, particularly schools, and digital services such as the "Centros Multimedia Comunitarios" will be crucial when electrifying communities for both components. The Overall Objective of this action is to contribute to a sustainable, inclusive and climate-resilient socio-economic development through enhanced access to electricity and to its services in Mozambique, with a particular emphasis on the nexus energy, education and digital technology. The Action will be structured around two specific objectives (SO): SO1: Scaling-up off-grid electricity access and energy services through isolated mini-grids, and SO2: Expanding energy access and services through grid Electrification, providing access to electricity to at least 5,560,407 people, to over 4,000 enterprises and to…
