About this project
The proposed initiative aims to close skills gaps in Sierra Leone by aligning education and training with labor market needs in sectors supported by Team Europe and the EU private sector. It will strengthen senior-level secondary technical education, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), and digital financial literacy for both in¿school and out¿of¿school youth, while also supporting start-ups. The action advances EU interests by helping young people access green economic opportunities that reduce drivers of irregular migration and by addressing the shortage of qualified labor faced by European companies in the country. It will complement existing EU interventions and support the broader Global Gateway agenda through a human rights¿based, gender¿responsive, and inclusive approach that promotes knowledge transfer, institutional capacity building, and long¿term sustainability.
