Activity under preparation Global Gateway for Sustainable Transport Investment in Peru

About this project

The Action establishes an EU¿Peru Global Gateway Investment Preparation Facility to accelerate the preparation of sustainable transport investments in Peru. It strengthens the regulatory and institutional framework while supporting the development of a pipeline of technically mature and investment-ready transport projects. The Action facilitates cooperation between Peruvian authorities, European Development Finance Institutions, Team Europe partners and the private sector to mobilise public and private investment. It promotes high environmental, social, financial and governance standards consistent with the Global Gateway Strategy. Ultimately, it aims to enhance Peru's sustainable connectivity, economic competitiveness and climate transition through high-quality transport infrastructure.
