About this project

The Overall Objective of this action is to Promote sustainable, inclusive Global Gateway Investments in Argentina. The Specific(s) Objective(s) of this action are:To catalyse and mobilise sustainable EU private investment across strategic Global Gateway value chains in Argentina including CRM, circular economy, digitalisation, sustainable agriculture, sustainable energy, including for renewable energy generation, electrification and grids reinforcement, biodiversity through investment facilitation, project preparation and strategic partnerships. To improve access for EU investors and companies to long-term financing and risk-sharing instruments for sustainable investment projects in Argentina. To establish and institutionalise investment dialogue and coordination mechanisms with Global Gateway priority provinces under the GGIA and the EMPA to identify, prioritise and facilitate strategic investment opportunities. To catalyse investments in climate-resilient and environmentally sustainable marine and coastal infrastructure, in particular clean ports, circular plastic waste management and sustainable tourism infrastructure.To strengthen institutional capacity and enabling frameworks for sustainable blue finance, including blue bonds, investment governance, environmental and social (E&S) compliance, responsible business conduct and human rights due diligence.
