About this project

Part of the Agri-Connect programme, AgriFI Tanzania is an EU-funded impact investment facility with a mandate to provide medium to long-term financing to private sector enterprises active in the agri-food value chains coffee, tea and horticulture, across Tanzania. As such, it aims to address exiting gaps in the financing of agriculture in Tanzania. With a total budget of EUR 12 million, the facility is expected to, indirectly increase the value-added, production and incomes of ~14,000 smallholders, through investing in agri-SMEs which work with smallholders in Tanzania. The facility is expected to attract additional financing for such investments from co-investors, including from DFIs and private investors of at least EUR 16.8 million reaching a total investment estimated amount of EUR 28 million.
