About this project

<p>The Project will improve energy efficiency across the industries through the introduction of ISO Energy Management Standards incorporating industrial energy System Optimization. It aims to promote and stimulate market demand and increase the adoption of energy efficiency practices by industry (including DEUs and SMEs) for their greater energy performance, reduced carbon footprint and enhanced productivity and competitiveness.</p><p>The Project will support the MOIT and relevant government agencies in developing and issuing regulations and guidelines on energy audits and on energy efficiency and low/no carbon technologies for industries. It&nbsp;aims at enhancing the awareness and technical capacity of key stakeholders on EnMS and SOs and the provision of technical assistance in the implementation of EnMS and SO solutions, by strategically contributing to the VNEEP3 energy saving targets, as well as more generally reducing GHG emissions and increasing energy security.</p><p>By achieving the outcomes set in the intervention logframe, it is expected that in the long-term there will be an improvement of EE of the industry sectors in Viet Nam (impact), under the assumptions that no major financial shock or impact to business/export will be caused by the sanitary emergency, and that financing institutions are willing to invest and finance for the installation of new equipment.</p>
