Education and Youth Empowerment in Northern Nigeria (EYEPINN)

About this project

The proposed action is a basic education programme intended to support the government to ensure  improved access to inclusive and equitable quality education and skill development, (especially for girls) in rural, underserved communities of the north western Nigeria; Jigawa, Kano, and Sokoto States. The government will also be assisted to plan and implement good policies for good governance of the sector. The programme will be implemented through integrated multisectorial approach and will be aligned with priorities in the sector. It will also be aligned with the actions of other donors¿ actions in the sector. EYEPINN will strategically support an estimated 1.5 million children in each of the three States in 3 years and ultimately up to 8,000,000 nationally. Exact number of target group will be agreed during the inception phase.
