About this project

Complementing the SB4U 1.0 Action (AAP 2022), SB4U 2.0 focuses on the Trade and SPS pillar of the SB4U TEI.The action will support trade and investment facilitation and promotion in full complementarity with regional programmes and initiatives (e.g. MARKUP, RIIP, etc.). It will allow to: (a) provide technical support to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives and other stakeholders for the development of policies and tools fostering trade and investment. Activities could include an update of the National Trade Strategy, enhancement of the National Trade Facilitation Portal; (b) provide direct support to the private sector for business development, improving awareness of market requirements and export standards as well as capacity building for export and business promotion. Activities could include the development of export guides, training for trade support institutions and sector associations; (c) support trade infrastructure (e.g. border posts, aggregation centres, etc.); (d) support policies for the development of e-commerce services and platforms.
