Support to the implementation of the SCTP programme and related technical assistance( Malawi SP MDTF)

About this project

Working via a pooled fund mechanism the Intervention will work with the GoM in the strengthening of the social protection system (S.O. 1) as a whole with emphasis on improving its governance structure, on supporting transformational reform efforts (e.g. institutionalisation of the social registry) in addition to sustaining the implementation and enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the sole government led social assistance intervention implemented at scale, the Social Cash Transfer Programme (SCTP). The modernisation of the programme, through technical assistance, will look also at increasing its relevance to key vulnerabilities and risks throughout the lifecycle of girls and women among SCTP beneficiaries.
