About this project

This action represents a new phase to the existing Kiwa Initiative that is already running and in place in the Pacific Region. This additional funding will be formalised under a new, separate contract, given that it is part of the new multiannual programme. The Kiwa Initiative is a multi-stakeholder international initiative designed to increase the capacities of Pacific states and territories to adapt to the impact of climate change; and to protect, restore, and enhance biodiversity in order to strengthen the resilience of their socio-ecological systems. More concretely, the Kiwa Initiative aims to strengthen the resilience of Pacific countries and territories¿ ecosystems, economies and communities by setting up a dedicated one-stop shop for funding projects that promote nature-based solutions.
