About this project

<p>The main objective of the present proposal is the acceleration of SDG 6 progress as an essential contribution to the successful implementation of the water-related 2030 Agenda targets and the Water Action Decade. To this end, UN-Water continues to operationalize the SDG 6 Global Acceleration Framework as an overarching approach to strengthen the global water architecture and to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. The SDG 6 Global Acceleration Framework mobilizes action through focusing the attention of Member States, United Nations entities and other stakeholders specifically on five cross-cutting `accelerators¿ ¿ Financing, Data & Information, Capacity Development, Innovation, and Governance ¿ in order to drive progress on water and sanitation issues. The specific objectives include:</p><ol><li data-list="ordered"><span class="ql-ui" contenteditable="false"></span>Enhance the capacities and overall coherence of the UN system for effective and coherent multilateral water governance and country coordination</li><li data-list="ordered"><span class="ql-ui" contenteditable="false"></span> Enhance international, regional, and national policy dialogues on the acceleration of SDG 6 implementation and water-related Goals of the 2030 Agenda</li><li data-list="ordered"><span class="ql-ui" contenteditable="false"></span>Strengthen integrated monitoring, reporting and use of data by countries for the achievement of SDG 6.</li><li data-list=…
