About this project

<p>The <strong>Overall Objective</strong> (Impact) of this action is to contribute to increase food and nutrition security and sustainable and resilient livelihood for rural communities most affected by food insecurity, conflict, and climate change. The <strong>Specific Objective </strong>(Outcome) of this action: Contribute to the improvement of livelihoods of vulnerable rural smallholder farmers and pastoralists (disaggregated by gender, age, migratory status, and physical ability) through improved animal health and production, equal and sustainable access to natural resources including land and quality seeds, and reduction of conflicts between farmers and herders. <strong>The following Outputs (Expected Results) to be delivered by this action contributing to the Specific Objective: <u>Component One: Livestock Resources: </u>Output 1:</strong> Enhanced access to natural resources in an equitable manner for men and women and reduce conflict between farmers and herders (30% women, 3% PwD, 5% elderly, at least 20% IDPs and 20% returnees), <strong>Output 2: </strong>Improved livestock health and productivity through enhancing surveillance, diagnosis, and control of Transboundary Animal Diseases (TADs) (30% women, 3% PwD, 5% elderly, at least 20% IDPs and 20% returnees), <strong>Output 3:</strong> Awareness and skills of the main beneficiaries of the project increased in relation to impact of climate change and animal diseases on livestock-based livelihoods (30% women, 3% PwD,…
