Contract related to: Asistencia Tecnica para facilitar la implementacion de EUDR en Honduras - This Action will assist Honduras in complying with its commitments under the Paris Agreement. As agricultural expansion is one of the main drivers of deforestation in Honduras, progress towards the country¿s NDC to restore 1 million hectares of forest cannot be envisaged without the participation of agricultural producers.The proposed Action intends to reduce greenhouses gas emissions caused by Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry depletion by promoting more sustainable and resilient value chains in the forestry and agricultural sectors. The expected outcome is the decrease of the rate of deforestation and restoration of forest areas due to improved value chain governance in these sectorsThe Outputs to be delivered by this action contributing to the corresponding Specific Objectives (Outcomes) are: ¿ Agro-ecological principles are considered based on plant diversity and local species, polyculture, agroforestry systems, animal integration, organic matter, soil cover, and water harvesting. ¿ Agroforestry business models are established: licenses and certifications of specialty coffees and other deforestation-free commodities are obtained, and technologies taking advantage of nature-based solutions are adopted. ¿ A timber legality System is partially designed by the beneficiary government. ¿ Interventions for the implementation of the National Decarbonisation and Climate Resilience…
