About this project

Contract related to: Global Gateway Facility for Central America - The action aims at strengthening Central America¿s (CA) economic integration process and maximising the benefits of the Association Agreement between the European Unionand Central America (EU-CA AA), including increased opportunities for trade and investmentin a Global Gateway perspective.It intends to align CA¿s interests with EU interestsand builds and scales up core trade facilitation activities supported by previous and ongoing EU support in the area, in particularvia the INTEC programme(DAC codes 32130, 33120, 33130) andopportunities created under the AL-INVEST programme. The action has a particular focus on theprivate sector by accompanying the EU Green Deal legislation (31220) via four components:1.Implementing the Association Agreement to promote trade and investments This component will contribute to the consolidation of the economic integration process in Central America adherend to the principles of the EU ¿CA Association Agreement with the objective to generate enablingconditions to enhance regional trade and to boost investmentopportunitiesin GGIA priority areas.2.Consolidating the Deep Integration as a scalable model for Central America (Integración Profunda)This action will support the Deep Integration Process between Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.
