Contract related to: RADiUS - Réseau en Agroécologie pour promouvoir la durabilité des systèmes alimentaires en Afrique de l¿Ouest et du Centre - Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) is being transform by megatrends such as climate change, environmental degradation, demographic growth, conflicts and technological development. This transformation poses significant long-term challenges for SSA and demands in particular to accelerate green transitions.Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) are powerful drivers of sustainable and inclusive development. Using STI transformative potential is key to progress towards SSA¿s green transition and the achievement of SDGs, notably SDG 9.Based on a lasting relationship of collaboration between the continents, the Action strengthens the Africa-EU partnership on STI with a focus on science-policy interface; data and information access and sharing; increasing capacity in terms of human development and upgrading facilities; knowledge generation and management; and support to practitioners, scientists and policy makers. The Action aims at increasing the STI capacities of Regional Centres of Excellence (RCoEs) in green transition related areas. It will improve the RCoEs¿ contributions to policy and decision-making processes, innovation ecosystems, business development as well provide support through services to relevant stakeholders.
