Technical Assistance to support the implementation of the Blue Economy programme in Tanzania

About this project

<p class="ql-align-justify">The general objective of this contract is to ensure the effective, efficient and coordinated implementation of the Blue Economy Programme in Tanzania and Zanzibar. The contract has 3 specific objectives:</p><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Specific objective 1:</strong> To support the Government of Tanzania (GoT) in efficiently engaging in the policy dialogue and developing sector reform proposals to improve environment protection and business environment in the Blue economy sectors, and to meet the eligibility criteria and achieve the indicators and targets of the budget support component of the Blue Economy Programme;</p><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Specific objective 2: </strong>To<strong> </strong>strengthen the institutional capacities and specific expertise of relevant Ministries and government authorities<a href="#_ftn1" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">[1]</a> to efficiently and effectively fulfil their mandates and sectoral responsibilities related to the Blue Economy Programme;</p><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Specific objective 3: </strong>To provide technical support to the EU Delegation for the monitoring and steering of the programme and to ensure the overall coordination, optimal alignment and synergies between the different components, contracts and stakeholders of the BE Programme and correspondent TEI;</p>
