About this project

<div class="ql-code-block-container" spellcheck="false"><div class="ql-code-block ql-align-justify" data-language="plain">The proposed project will put Pu Luong Natural Reserve (NR) and its sustainable management and conservation at heart by piloting an inclusive benefit-sharing mechanism in protected forests management for an equitable sharing of resources, and promotion of NR-centered biodiversity and climate change issue mainstreaming in the local tourism strategies (Output 1). Empowerment of ethnic minority women in the buffer and core zone of Pu Luong NR will be targeted. Through capacities building, teamwork/support/mentoring, and enabling spaces for their collective involvement, they are fostered to be active actors in policy dialoguing and development, forest management and protection, leading in economic activities related to sustainable development with increased confidence to promote better environmental and gender-responsive practices to mitigate socio-economic impacts on biodiversity in the Natural Reserve (Output 2 and 3). To enhance traditional/cultural values and environmental and biodiversity protection in the Natural Reserve, a Green Label at the district level certifying virtuous practices on environmental/cultural protection at community-based tourism businesses and communities will be piloted and used as a local brand to promote responsible production and consumption in community-based tourism sector (Output 4). </div></div><p><br></p>
