FAO IC - Technical Assistance for TERRA Guarantee

About this project

<p>The EU contribution of up to EUR 4,585,714 is the Technical Assistance component (hereinafter the ¿<strong>Action</strong>¿) of the <strong>¿Transforming and Empowering Resilient and Responsible Agribusiness (TERRA)¿ Proposed Investment Programme (PIP). </strong>The ¿TERRA Programme¿ (hereinafter the ¿<strong>Programme</strong>¿) comprises of (i) a Technical Assistance component and (ii) a Guarantee component; and was given a positive opinion by the EFSD+ Operational Board in December 2022. The Programme is being implemented by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) as lead institution for the financial component, and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) - (hereinafter the ¿<strong>Organisation</strong>¿) ¿ as lead institution for the Technical Assistance (TA) component.</p><p><br></p><p class="ql-align-justify">The Programme seeks to develop sustainable agri-food systems via integrated capacity building and access to innovative finance through two interlinked components: TA and Guarantees. The Programme is targeted for implementation over the period 2024-2029, with activities under the TA component (hereinafter the ¿<strong>Action</strong>¿) scheduled to commence following the signature of the Guarantee Agreement.</p>
