About this project

The Action aims to support the Government of Bangladesh to reduce GHG emissions, hence to achieve the NDC targets. This will be done through addressing policy and regulatory framework implementation gaps, ultimately promoting and facilitating relevant reforms for renewable energy and energy efficiency, technology and knowledge sharing, and facilitating investments to expand the generation of power through renewable energy. The transition to a greener energy system is expected to contribute to a better quality of life, directly contributing to the EU Green Deal, the Global Gateway, the Indo-Pacific Strategy, the SDGs and the Global Gateway. Access to energy is a prerequisite to the realization of human rights, having a positive impact on access to health and education, business creation and women¿s empowerment, to name a few contributions to economic and social development.
