Support Kenya to track and report on progress and achievement of its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC)

About this project

<p>The contract, to be contracted by the National Treasury will provide capacity building/support to the Climate Change Directorate (CCD) of the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry to implement its mandate as provided for in the Climate Change Act, 2023 at the national, across sectors, at county levels and globally. Supporting digital technologies, will enable the ministry establish the monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) system for the implementation of Kenya¿s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) and enhance CCD coordinative role within and across sectors and with county governments as specified in the Climate Act, 202023, including streamlining its working relationship with the Climate Finance and Green Economy unit at the National Treasury; strengthening implementation of Kenya¿s Long Term Low Emission Strategy and build capacity on carbon credits and trading.</p>
