<p><span style="background-color: rgb(252, 252, 253); color: rgb(48, 48, 48);">The overall objective of the WASOP programme is to enhance the sustainable and integrated use of ocean resources in West Africa boosting inclusive economic growth. The Specific Objective 1 is ¿to strengthen West African ocean governance¿. The implementation of the activities regarding this objective will lead to a better coordination of regional and national fisheries policies and operations, mainstreaming sustainable ocean governance and the effective implementation of international instruments to strengthen the fight against IUU fishing in the region</span></p>
