About this project

<h3><strong>Objectives</strong></h3><p><br></p><p class="ql-align-justify">The Project will make a significant contribution to creating the necessary conditions to support Ecuador in meeting the objectives and targets established through international agreements (2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development) and national plans and programs such as the <strong>Plan for the Creation of Opportunities 2021¿2025 </strong>and the<strong> National Forest Restoration Plan 2019¿2030 (Impact ¿ Global Objective).</strong></p><p class="ql-align-justify">The main contributions focus on <strong>strengthening institutional and community capacities and improving the local regulatory framework</strong> related to the conservation and restoration of biodiversity in Amazonian ecosystems and the implementation of <strong>Integrated Fire Management (IFM)</strong>. These actions will be based in<strong> scientific research, horizontal dialogue between science and traditional local knowledge</strong>, the application of <strong>innovative good practices, </strong>and<strong> inter-institutional dialogue (Outcome ¿ Specific Objective).</strong></p><p class="ql-align-justify">RESULTS:</p><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Result 1:</strong> Capacities of territorial entities and local communities are strengthened in the implementation of sound environmental management practices, restoration with a focus on strategic landscapes, conservation, and the use of good agroforestry practices in agriculture.</p>…
