About this project

EU and LAC collaboration on critical raw materials can contribute to generate sustainable investments. Geological surveys play a crucial role in several key parts of raw material value chains, from the exploration stage to the post-closure phase. Given the importance of secondary raw materials, Geological Surveys are key elements to tackle the mineral supply potential of mining wastes. The project has two main objective:

Strengthen cooperation between EU-LAC Geological Surveys on the evaluation of both primary and secondary raw materials.

Provide technical assistance for targeted local studies.
