About this project

The HARVEST project forms part of the EU¿s broader effort to promote greener, climate-resilient and market-driven agribusiness development in the Murehwa¿Mutoko¿Mudzi agricultural corridor. Building on the EU¿s territorial and landscape approach, the project combines climate-smart production, evidence-based research, and commercially structured agribusiness hubs jointly owned by farmers and private sector off-takers. Led by Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e.V. (WHH) with Sustainable Agriculture Technology (SAT), Bio Innovation Zimbabwe (BIZ), and CIRAD, the HARVEST project strengthens farmer organisations, supports diversified production across traditional grains, horticulture, legumes, nuts and Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs), and establishes professionally managed, investment-ready agribusiness hubs that provide aggregation, value addition, inputs, financial services, and market access. Through this integrated model, the project aims to increase smallholder incomes, expand climate-resilient value chains, catalyse youth-led MSMEs, and attract sustainable private-sector investment.

Overall Objective:

To support greener, sustainable agri-business and climate resilience for communities in the Murehwa, Mutoko, and Mudzi Agricultural Corridor.

Outcome (Specific Objective):

Establish three sustainable, green, inclusive and climate-smart agribusiness hubs and support 20 professionally man…
