About this project

The UMIP Project is a multi-sector programme targeting public infrastructure projects in the following sectors: energy efficiency (district heating, municipal lighting), water supply, wastewater and solid waste management. The objective of the UMIP Project is to rehabilitate and upgrade the municipal infrastructure in Ukraine by substantially improving energy efficiency and thus contributing to Ukraines energy security. Furthermore, the upgrades are expected to result in reduction in water losses, improvement of solid waste management services, water supply and sanitation and, generally, improvement of safety and quality of services provided. The preliminary selection of individual projects and municipalities under the UMIP Project was completed in September 2017 following the call for proposals launched by the government.
