EU contribution to the Water Resources Management Programme VI

About this project

The Action comprises the following three components, and the EU Contribution will partly finance component 1 and 2. KfW will finance component 3 and complement the financing for components 1 and 2 by means of a concessional loan. :Component 1: In the south of Amman the sewage networks are to be extended and connected to a wastewater treatment plant. Component 2: The sewage sludge landfill at the As Samra wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is to be extended by two more cells and equipped with a gas collection system for energy recovery. Component 3: The WWTPs of the Greater Irbid Municipality wastewater system (Northern Re-use System) will be upgraded and supplemented by an effluent pipeline and a small hydro power plant (HPP).
