Reducing the Pressure on Marine Ecosystem from Marine Transportation in Dalyan-K¿yceğiz Region

About this project

<p class="ql-align-justify">Overall Objective: Strengthening the institutional and implementation capacity of civil society in sensitive ecosystems and protected areas under tourism pressure in ¿Köyce¿iz-Dalyan Special Environmental Protection Area¿ with a right-based approach to reduce the negative impacts of touristic maritime transportation on marine ecosystems.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Specific Objective 1: Improving the advocacy practices of touristic maritime transport cooperatives and relevant NGOs to transform tourist boat transportation, which harms biodiversity in the sensitive ecosystem of Köyce¿iz-Dalyan, with innovative solutions in line with the EU Green Deal Policy with a rights-based approach.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Specific Objective 2: Developing cooperation between civil society organizations from Türkiye, public institutions, and the private sector through pilot application. </p><p><br></p><p>The project was awarded under the call for proposal that aims to support the improvement of the capacities of civil society organisations towards the achievement of the ambitious targets of the European Green Deal.</p>
