The Labour Movement Contributes to an Inclusive, Sustainable and Just Green Transition in T¿rkiye

About this project

<p class="ql-align-justify">Overall objective of this action is set to improve the operational and institutional capacities of the trade unions towards engaging in several aspects of the European Green Deal. In addition to support their active involvement and participation in decision making, related to three thematic areas of the Green Deal; climate action, sustainable production and consumption as well as circular economy and resource efficiency.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Specific objectives of the action are the following:</p><ol><li data-list="bullet" class="ql-align-justify"><span class="ql-ui" contenteditable="false"></span>To achieve behavioural changes including the use of gained knowledge and skills among the actor groups in focus, mainly the four targeted unions and their members but also the general public, governmental and municipal institutions, the Turkish civil society, the international labour movement and international decision makers such as the EU.</li><li data-list="bullet" class="ql-align-justify"><span class="ql-ui" contenteditable="false"></span>to reach towards a more inclusive society through the political and citizen participation of workers, the influence on the government and its institutions for the adhesion to international conventions and agreements but also and mainly for an inclusive decision-making process related to the green transition, a stronger, more consolidated civil society and international solidarity network.</li></ol><p>The c…
