About this project

Contract related to: Monitoring Freedom of Association- II - The overall objective of this action is to foster a functioning pluralistic, participatory and representative democracy and the consolidation of a resilient civil society by promoting a culture of fundamental rights and dialogue. It will target rights-based CSOs. The action will focus on strengthening operational capacities of CSOs; improving CSO¿s advocacy and monitoring for human and fundamental rights; enhancing the right to freedom of expression, access to information and to strengthen pluralism by supporting media actors; and improving cooperation between CSOs and local authorities.By improving the capacities of CSOs working on the relevant areas, the action will allow the promotion and protection of human and fundamental rights, including gender equality, rights of groups belonging to minorities and in vulnerable situations, chidren¿s rights, rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Non-binary, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ) people, and labour rights. It will address political, ethnic and social polarisation in Turkey and contribute to reducing inequalities and fostering social cohesion. It will also contribute to implementing the EU Green Deal by supporting CSOs initiatives in the field and enhance the capacities of CSOs working on disaster management.
