Municipal Infrastructure Development, Phase II

About this project

The Action aims at bringing water supply and wastewater systems closer to EU standards, reducing technical and non-technical water losses and energy consumption for water pumping and promoting the pollution control of transboundary waters (as the Prut River becomes a border river between Ukraine and Romania and further downstream between Romania and Moldova). The overall objective of the Chernivtsi water programme is the sustainable use of the infrastructure provided and the strengthening of Chernivtsi as receiving community of IDPs. This contribution is topping up a previous EU financial contribution to the project ¿Municipal Infrastructure Development, Phase I¿ (Contribution Agreements ENI/2015/368-132 and ENI/ 2021/419-728).
