About this project

<p class="ql-align-justify">The <strong>Overall Objective</strong> of the Action is to accelerate the shift towards circular economy in Kosovo through the introduction of integrated waste management in line with EU policies and Kosovo Integrated Waste Management Strategy.</p><p>The <strong>Specific Objective</strong> of the Action is Integrated waste management and circular economy framework in line with EU standards</p><p>Main activities:</p><p>Drafting new legislation, revision of primary and secondary legal framework, , preparation of guidelines and support in implementing concepts in 3 pilot projects for circular economy, advocacy, awareness raising, institutional capacity building plan for the implementation and enforcement of integrated waste management in Kosovo, capacity development for private sector, professional exchange and expertise on circular economy, EPR implementation,</p><p>Development of Inter-municipal integrated waste management plan for Dukagjini region, SEA, development and assistance for approval of an Inter-municipal cooperation agreement, capacity building, procurement and implementation of priority infrastructure projects, pre-feasibility studies, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, cost-benefit analysis and preliminary designs for future interventions in the Dukagjini region</p>
