About this project
Contribute to the improvement of Solid Waste (SW) management in the DR, with a special focus on the Greater Santo Domingo area, to mitigate the negative environmental and social impacts of landfills located in the areas targeted by the intervention. As specific objectives, the Program seeks to: (i) ensure adequate final disposal of SW in the areas targeted by the intervention; (ii) increase the recovery and classification of SW, promoting social inclusion for informal recyclers, gender equity, and the inclusion of diversity; and (iii) reduce the generation of GHG emissions in the management of SW.
