Financing new JPO "Resilience Officer" for IOM in Mali Bamako (programme 2020 - Recruitment 2021)

About this project

The JPO Programme recruits Junior Professional Officers for the different UN Organisations. JPOs are recruited under bilateral agreements between the UN and donor countries. JPOs are generally nationals of donor countries. Belgium also finances nationals of developing countries. Candidates are 32 years old with a Master degree and minimum two years of professional experience. This project involves financing a new Junior Professional Officer (JPO) role titled "Resilience Officer" for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Bamako, Mali. The recruitment process was initiated in 2021, following the program commencement in 2020. This initiative falls under the sector of Humanitarian Aid. Reconstruction relief and rehabilitation, which is part of the top sector Humanitarian Aid (7xxxx). The funding for this project comes from the Directorate General for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid of Belgium, as part of a multilateral technical cooperation. The specific role of the Resilience Officer will contribute to strengthening IOM's capacity in Mali to address resilience-related issues within the humanitarian aid sector.
