About this project

The objective is to support the Government of Kenya, as the originator and host of the Africa Climate Summit, to participate effectively in ACS2 in its capacity as CAHOSCC Chair and AU member state. Kenya’s participation will help advance dialogue, consensus, and concrete solutions to the global climate crisis, with a focus on Africa’s specific context, while also shaping Africa’s common position ahead of COP30 and other climate processes. This support is directly aligned with Strategic Objectives 1 and 3 of the Denmark–Kenya Partnership (2021–2025), Denmark’s Strategy for Africa (2024), the Development Cooperation Strategy, and the Long-Term Strategy for Global Climate Action, all of which aim to raise global climate ambition, strengthen adaptation and resilience, and promote a just green transition.
