About this project
The programme aims to support Ukraine’s green transition by reducing CO2 emissions and enhancing energy efficiency. This is achieved through the development of annual Ukraine Energy Outlooks to guide long-term energy planning and by modernizing the district heating network, including the utilization of surplus heat. The Ukraine Energy Outlook will provide guidance on how Ukraine can achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and phase out of coal by 2040. The initiative aims at creating an enabling environment for investment in sustainable energy and strengthened district heating, assisting Ukraine in achieving its energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy independence targets and modernising district heating.
