About this project

Contribute to Rwanda’s efforts to achieve the goals set out in its NDC, which includes promoting the use of efficient cook stoves as a mitigation measure, and the targets in the National Strategy for Transformation 2017-2024 to reduce the number of households depending on firewood for cooking purposes from 79.9% (2016/17) to 42% by 2024, and the Energy Sector Strategic Plan to halve the number of households using traditional cooking technologies. Danish support will be a key deliverable for the Danish government’s ambition to support access to clean and renewable energy for more people in Africa in line with Denmark’s new Strategy for Development Cooperation and the long-term Global Climate Action Strategy.
