About this project

The programme aligns with Denmark’s strategic priority of stabilizing efforts by swiftly addressing safety and security needs, ensuring access to basic services, fostering local resilience, and supporting reconstruction. It reaffirms Denmark’s commitment to Ukraine’s territorial integrity and its alignment with European values, particularly human rights, non-discrimination, and gender equality. Additionally, it seeks to mitigate the conflict’s impact on local communities, especially among disadvantaged groups such as women and youth, while strengthening community security and social cohesion—key areas of concern in eastern Ukraine. The programme also enhances the operational effectiveness and NATO interoperability of the Ukrainian armed forces and supports grassroots peace initiatives.
