About this project

The Danish contribution is part of the support provided through the Peace and Stabilisation Fund as part of the fourth phase of the Horn of Africa Programme under its outcome area 2 focused on Countering and Preventing Violent Extremism and countering Serious Organised Crime through strengthened regional capabilities. In addition, and as a secondary effect, the engagement with EASF also supports outcome area 1, by creating a forum for political dialogue among the 10 EASF Member States including Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia. This specific engagement will work towards outcome 2 of the PSP HoA IV programme: Preventing & countering violent extremism and transnational organized crime – Violent Extremist Organisation’s (VEOs) and transnational organized crime networks’ influence and their means of gaining revenue and capabilities in the Horn of Africa on land and at sea are diminished through strengthened bilateral and regional capabilities.
