About this project

The project has two support areas, Education and health: a) To facilitate shifts in education policy, governance, and management towards the inclusion of refugees in the national education system. This will support ongoing advocacy and preparation for registration of camp schools, extension of quality assurance services, inclusion in data systems and access to national teacher management services. b) To sustain education services for refugees in camps with a focus on the most vulnerable, progressively aligning interventions to national systems and standards necessary for transition. This involves supporting the provision of infrastructure, learning materials and teachers to schools in the refugee camps to enable delivery of the Competency based Curriculum with a focus on Junior Secondary Schools. and for health: Enhance refugees’ inclusion in Universal Health Coverage through supporting access to the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) for refugees and hosting communities in and around Kakuma and Kalobeyei.
