About this project

The overall goal of the project is to build the resilience of children and youth in the Rwenzori sub-landscape to cope with climate change by practicing sustainable resource management and becoming agents of change for nature and climate. Through promotion of Green Schools, the 'Welcome to the Green School' project will mainstream learning on climate change mitigation and adaptation in school curricula and create a social space in which children and youth learn to assert their agency as environmental activists and practitioners – within their communities and more broadly in Uganda
