About this project

The overall objective is to contribute to green transition and climate resilient development in Rwanda, thereby supporting the Government of Rwanda in achieving Rwanda’s NDC as well as contribute to green job creation and sustainable development. Specifically, the objective is to enhance the capacity of Rwanda to advance financial innovation to accelerate climate mitigation and adaptation efforts by leveraging private investments in low-carbon, climate resilient technologies and sectors through support to the country’s private sector development in green sectors. The Danish support will cover all six priority sectors of RGF and Ireme Invest: i) renewable energy, ii) climate smart agriculture, iii) energy efficiency in commercial buildings and cities, iv) clean transport, v) circular economy, and vi) wetlands restoration.
