About this project
To strengthen resilience in Somalia's rural communities affected by climate-related issues and to prevent internal displacement. The project is implemented by a consortium led by CARE Denmark. It aims to reach rural communities by promoting climate adaptation, livelihoods, and conflict prevention. Key interventions include: Climate-smart farming and water conservation training for farmers; Access to solar technologies, drought-resistant seeds, and green tools for women and youth; Local planning support using data and inclusive, environmentally conscious approaches; Entrepreneurship support via WFP’s IFFS programme, with coaching and seed capital; Support for women-led cooperatives and value chains through microfinance.
