24M-NRC - Building Climate Adaptation and Resilience for Rural Population through Financial Inclusion - Kenya

About this project

The project aims to promote a green transition and inclusive economic growth in rural Kenya by enhancing climate resilience and improving livelihoods through financial inclusion of most vulnerable communities. NORCAP will provide TA to Juhudi Kilimo to refine the business model for climate-resilient products and services. This project also encourages sustainable land use, promoting soil testing, while fostering ecosystem partnerships to support comprehensive climate resilience and inclusive economic growth. Abler Nordic through its investment supports financial institutions like Juhudi Kilimo to develop digitally delivered, affordable climate smart financial products, and services targeted at rural populations in sub-Saharan countries and Asia that improve climate resilience and improve livelihoods particularly among vulnerable rural smallholder farmers. In collaboration with Abler Nordic, NORCAP supports partner financial institutions to roll-out these solution through an ecosystem approach, working with partners to strengthen the value proposition to target beneficiaries, while maintaining the economic viability of the business model.
